Paris Boudoir

The intention of the interior designer behind this project was to create a “jewel box room”. An antique red lacquered Chinese box was eventually chosen as inspiration. All the decorative panels were painted in the studio to canvas where the oriental figures were created by using a technique involving both gold and silver leaf. After the installation of the panels the rest of the room was completed in the same way and paint finished to give an appearance of antiqued lacquer.
